Annual Meeting Election Information

full width paragraph

CANDIDATE BIOS

87th Annual Meeting, you are an important piece of the Cooperative

Farmers’ Electric Cooperative (FEC) is governed by its members. Each year at the Annual Meeting, members elect individuals to serve on the Board of Directors—your voice in shaping the Cooperative’s future. The Board meets monthly to set policy and make decisions with the best interests of the entire membership in mind.

FEC’s service area is divided into seven districts, with one director representing each. Directors are elected to serve three-year terms, ensuring consistent, local representation.

Directors play a vital role in keeping members directly involved in the decision-making process.

This year, the Nominating Committee, which is made up of seven FEC members, has selected candidates for the one Board seat up for election:

District 6 (Linn County)

If you have any questions, please call Farmers’ Electric Cooperative at 660-646-4281.

DISTRICT NO. 6 BOARD CANDIDATE:

Linn County

Larry Muck | Meadville

Larry Muck of Meadville is seeking reelection to the Board of Directors of Farmers’ Electric Cooperative. Larry and his wife, Teresa, reside north of Meadville and are proud parents of four grown children: Jared, Tiff, Tara, and Josh. A dedicated member of Cornerstone Church, Larry enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hunting with his grandchildren, and is passionate about making his farm more wildlife-friendly.

As a member of the Cooperative for 45 years and a director since 2019, Larry brings valuable experience as both a business owner and farmer, giving him practical insight into the needs of rural communities.

He has operated Larry Muck Trucking for 38 years and farms row crops, hay, and raises cattle. In addition to his work on the Cooperative’s Board, Larry serves on the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Clay Township Boards and previously served on the Farm Credit Services Board. His leadership is grounded in years of working closely with rural residents and small business owners.

On the Board, Larry is known for prioritizing member needs and supporting efforts to strengthen small-town economies. He was a strong advocate for building the new warehouse in Hamilton to enhance service for members in the western part of the Cooperative’s territory. Larry’s guiding principle when making decisions is to always consider what is best for our members today and making sure those same decisions are best for the long-term sustainability and success of the Cooperative.
